STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The first Staten Island Restaurant Month is underway with 35 participating restaurants.
Business advocacy group IROAR (Independent Restaurant Owners Association Rescue) kicked off the program with various deals revolving around the price of $20.22, a salute to the year.
It is not too late for eateries to participate, said co-organizer Rob DeLuca of DeLuca’s Italian Restaurant in Tottenville and head of IROAR. Proprietors can reach out to him to sign at no charge by emailing him at [email protected].
Restaurant Month is a separate one from NYC Restaurant Week which is underway through Feb. 13. The latter is run by the city’s tourism department dubbed NYC & Co. There are three participants in that program — Ralph’s Sports Bar in Dongan Hills, Lorenzo’s at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomfield and Gio’s in Eltingville.
